Challenge: managing special materials

This cable harness is an assembly of many different and somewhat special materials. The specific composition of materials sets high demands for material management and procurement.

Also, the cable insulation needed to be cut without damaging the core of the wires. Instead of manually cutting the cables, we used lasers. It allowed us to cut with precision and the process became more efficient. Watch this video about how laser cutting is done.

Result: IPC 620 class 3 cables

The wires are manufactured according to IPC 620 class iii to ensure safe and non-defect products. These wires are then assembled in a part made of turned PEEK-plastic and beryllium cobber.

With clean assembly lines and specialised suppliers, we assembled and delivered a cable harness that lived up to all the customer’s requirements and needs.
