Die casting – good for high volumes

Die casting offers low unit prices but carries high tooling costs. This means that the production volume should be high to justify using this method.

If your parts need heat treatment to be more robust, you should use gravity casting. Heat treatment is not possible for e.g. die cast parts.

Sand casting –suitable for low volumes

The low production and tooling cost that follows using this method, makes it useful for low volumes. Furthermore, you can achieve complex geometries.

Lost wax casting – reach complex geometries and near-net shapes

With lost wax casting you will reach high levels of consistency and near-net shapes. This means less need for post-processing.
